    PTA Update
After an amazing year of fundraising last year, the PTA have been planning upcoming events, we know the school budget is under significant pressure so our fundraising is vitally important. But we are desperate for more volunteers after losing many committee members to the juniors. It is not a full-time commitment; we just need a few people, some of the roles and support is super flexible. Please come to the AGM to find out more or drop us a message.

    • There are some easy ways to help us raise money with just a small amount of admin. Have a look at the attached poster for shopping vouchers, easyfundraising which gives cashback to the PTA.
    • Preloved uniform donations - if you had a sort out over the summer holidays and have good quality items to donate please look out for a PTA member or drop to the infant office
    • Preloved uniform - if there are items you specifically need please drop a message to the Infant PTA on classlist. Otherwise next week we will put out a post with stock available
    • Halloween fancy dress - if you have good quality outgrown outfits please put to one side and we will put out a donation box later in September

Fri 05 Sep 2025 Junior School
    Dear Parents / Carers

It was lovely to see everyone in school today and we hope that they enjoyed their first day of the new year. Welcome to all of our new joiners.

Volunteer Readers - we will be welcoming back our volunteer readers to read with children in the afternoons. Please contact the office or your class teacher if you would like to read with children this term

Governor Vacancy - The Governing Board is looking to fill a vacancy with a new governor drawn from current parents and carers.  No qualifications are required; you just need common sense, time, enthusiasm and a commitment to working as part of a team to make a difference to the education of all the children at our school.  The experience can provide an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and is both interesting and rewarding.  Being a school governor would take on average about 2-3 hours a week of your time, including some meetings in the evenings and some during the school day (a number of employers grant time off for school governor duties).  The term of office is four years and full training is provided. This is not an elected position, anyone who applies will be interviewed by a small group of current governors, then the full governing board will take the decision on whom to appoint. To find out more, please email chairofgovernors@csgvillageschool.org.

    Governing Board
The Governing Board is looking to fill a vacancy with a new governor drawn from current parents and carers.

We have a number of children attending this school who have a severe allergy to nuts & sesame seeds - including both peanuts and tree-growing nuts.  This allergy is not just triggered through ingestion but can also be via touch and inhalation so we request that no items containing nuts or nut products be brought onto site, either during the school day or before and after school.  This includes birthday treats that get handed out to the children.  Such products also include peanut butter and Nutella / hazelnut chocolate spread and some cereal bars.  Your cooperation on this matter is very much appreciated.

PTA Update – Thank You for an Incredible Year!
What a fantastic year it’s been! We've loved hosting a variety of fun events for children, families, and carers—creating joyful moments for the kids and great opportunities for parents to connect. We hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as we have!

Thanks to your support, we’ve raised an incredible £20,883 this year—all of which goes directly to benefiting our school and children.

This year we’ve helped fund an amazing £29,219 worth of projects, including:

    • A major contribution to the new playground shelter

    • Classroom resources and Bee-Bots for programming fun

    • Enriching experiences like workshops during the Year 2 Tower of London trip

    • A visit from a professional athlete during Sports Week

We couldn’t do any of this without our amazing PTA team—and now, we need you! Some of our current committee members are moving on as their children head to juniors, so we’re looking for new friendly faces to join our team. Whether you want to help out occasionally or get more involved, we’d love to hear from you.
Got fundraising ideas or want to get involved?

Email us at csginfantpta@gmail.com, speak to Jess Allen, Laura Cuss or Abi Mossop or message us on Classlist.
