  • Infant - Weekly Email - Friday 21st November

Fri 21 Nov 2025 Infant School
    Dear Parents/Carers,

    Weekly Attendance
Each week we will let you know the weekly attendance for the whole school. We are aiming for an average of 96% this year. This week, attendance was 96.1%, year to date 94.1%

    Christmas Jumper Day-Wednesday 10th December
This year we are supporting Diabetes UK. Children are invited to wear their school uniform with a Christmas jumper, their own jumper they have decorated or a blue jumper for a suggested donation of £1.

    Girls boots
Several parents have enquired about whether girls are able to wear boots as we move to the colder months. We acknowledge that, in general, girls' school shoes tend to be more open and limited in style than boys which is less practical for the cold weather. With this in mind, we will trial allowing girls to wear boots in the winter months. However, there are some conditions to bear in mind:

    • They need to remain plain black, without embellishments
    • They must be flat, with no heel
    • If they are laced, the children must be able to do them up themselves
    • They should be no higher than mid calf height, and preferably no higher than ankle height

We will review this in the new year.

    Pantomime Cinderella
M&M Productions will be bringing their live pantomime to our school in January - details have been sent home. We are asking for a donation of £4.60 but the payment item on ParentPay will give you the option to donate any amount between £2.30 and £10 for this event. Go to the Payment Amount box on the Payment Screen and enter your donation amount. Thank you

Family Day -  Wednesday 26th November
To avoid overcrowding in the classrooms, we are asking parents book a time slot via ParentPay. The booking system for Family Day is open until Monday 24th November.

  • Junior - Weekly email - Friday 21st November

Fri 21 Nov 2025 Junior School
    Dear Parents / Carers

The snow on Wednesday was lovely but it has been very cold this week. Please can you make sure that children have warm coats in school.

Weekly Attendance - attendence at the Junior School has been 96.8% this week and this year to date is 95.8%

Nearly New Book Sale - On Thursday 4th & Friday 5th December we will be holding a second hand book sale in school. This will be a perfect opportunity for children to buy a reasonably priced Chrristmas present, or pick up a new read for the school holidays. All books will be sold for 50p and all proceeds will go to the school. If you are able, we would like to ask for donations of gently used children's books, books for all ages welcome. These can be brought in until Monday 1st December. We will remind children about the sale closer to the time and the sale will also run after school for parents and carers to attend.  Many thanks in advance for your support, Mrs Mannick Boots - Several parents have enquired about whether girls are able to wear boots as we move to the colder months.

Our Family Day will take place on Wednesday 26th November and we are looking forward to welcoming ots of family members into school

Christmas Jumper Day in support of Diabetes UK. OWednesday 10th December children may wear a Christmas Jumper, decorate their own jumper or wear a blue jumper for a suggested donation of £1. We will have collection pots in school for cash donations.

Lost property - We have a number of items in our lost property box that we would like to return to the owners, we do go through the box once a week and take items that are named to the children. Unfortunately we have a number of items that are not named or the name has become illegible. Please can we ask that all uniform items are labelled clearly (especially jumpers and hoodies) and if you have brought a second hand uniform that you change the name that is on it to your child. If you are unaware the lost property box is located in the dining hall and you can come in and take a look through it if your child has lost an item.

We currently have a Minecraft jacket and a Trespass gilet that have been in the box for a while. Also this week a grey fabric lunch box was left behind after PFO.

The lost property box is cleared at the end of each term and recycled, so please do come and check it before then.
