Infant School PTA

Chalfont St Giles Infant School & Nursery PTA

Hello and welcome to the Chalfont St Giles Infant School and Nursery PTA which
was established to raise funds for the school and to provide social activities for its
parents and pupils. As well as fundraising, the PTA serves as a valuable link
between the school, the parents and the students.

We are passionate about our school and raising money to help enrich our children’s
education. The money we raise helps to pay for additional resources and equipment,
which all of the children directly benefit from.

Typical events that we might hold include the Kids Christmas Parties, Wreath-
Making Evening, Pamper Evenings, Curry and Quiz Night, Family Breakfast Cafes,
Playground Sales and the main event, our annual Strawberry Fayre.

Please do keep an eye on Classlist for details of what’s going on this term!

You can contact us by emailing csginfantpta@gmail.com or via ClassList

tickets sales to all of our events.

FUNDRAISING FOCUS

In 2021/2022 you helped us to raise an amazing £17,974, which has:

  • Part funded an additional Learning Support Assistant for the school
  • Paid for improvements to woodland-learning facilities across the school including

         covered areas and pond clearing

  • Provided a new interactive white board for Nursery
  • Paid the schools photocopying expenses

homeware? Use this link to join the PTA Whatsapp group. Super simple - post a
picture of the item, hand over to the "buyer", and the buyer makes a donation to the

Giles Infants and Nursery PTA as your charity of choice, and shop away.

Supermarket voucher scheme
Do you shop in store at Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys, Waitrose or John
Lewis
or buy fuel at CSP or Amersham Tesco? If so, you can earn commission for
the school by ordering gift cards each month at no extra cost to you, to spend in
these stores.

How does it work?
The school makes a bulk purchase of shopping vouchers and receives a percentage
back from the retailer (for Tesco its 5%, Sainsburys and Waitrose / John Lewis its
4%). In 2018 a total of £2800 was raised through this scheme alone!
If you would like to participate or find out more information please email
CSG.Shopforschool@gmail.com. There is no obligation to do this every month
and you can choose whatever amount suits you.

Book People and Scholastic books
The Book People and Scholastic Books are both offering cash returns for the school
when you place an order online over £10.

How does it work?
When purchasing books online, type in Chalfont St Giles Infant School, and the
school instantly receives a kickback into their account to spend on books for school.

The Book People give the school £1 if you spend over £10. Scholastic give 25% if
you spend over £10! There are always offer codes around, you can try GOLDEN20
for the Book People to get 20% off orders over £30. Please do share the links with
family and friends. Happy shopping!
