Chalfont St Giles Infant School & Nursery PTA
Hello and welcome to the Chalfont St Giles Infant School and Nursery PTA which was established to raise funds for the school and to provide social activities for its parents and pupils. As well as fundraising, the PTA serves as a valuable link between the school, the parents and the students.
We are passionate about our school and raising money to help enrich our children’s education. The money we raise helps to pay for additional resources and equipment, which all of the children directly benefit from. Typical events that we might hold include the Strawberry Fayre, Beers and Bingo, Gin Tasting, Book Week Bonanza, Christmas Wreath Making, Dads2School, Mums2School, Christmas Parties, Easter Activities, Playground Sales and much more!
Please do check our calendar below for details of what’s going on this term!
You can contact us by emailing email@example.com or via ClassList (www.classlist.com), which we use as our primary communication tool and for tickets sales to all of our events.
In 2018/2019 you helped us to raise an amazing £13,600, which has:
Part funded an additional Learning Support Assistant for the school
Purchased 15 new Chromebooks for our children to use in class
Paid for new playground surfaces and picnic benches
Provided a new interactive white board for Sapphire class
Paid the schools photocopying expenses
In 2019/2010 our target is to raise £15,000, but we need your help. Our fundraising focus this year is to:
Silver for slides update
Thanks to the amazing generosity of one of our fabulous parents and the support of Gorilla Marketing and Events Ltd, a new play fort is currently being built for the school on the Shakman Field. If you have not seen it, it’s looking fantastic.
Our Silver for Slides campaign ran across October / early November to raise money to pay for the fort slides. With your help we surpassed our target and raised an amazing £1000 to purchase the slides! A HUGE thank you for all of your donations and congratulations to Diamond class who won the competition to raise the most money and will have the first go on the fort when it opens next year.

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP RAISE MONEY FOR OUR SCHOOL
In addition to supporting our fundraising initiatives there are lots of ways you can help raise money for our school:
Rowan Garden Centre Christmas Trees
Following the enormous success achieved last year, the school is supporting the Christmas Trees for Schools Scheme in conjunction with Rowan Garden Centre. All trees purchased at Rowan Garden Centre can earn the school up to 10% of the Christmas tree value. Please refer to leaflet below for more details
Supermarket voucher scheme
Do you shop in store at Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys, Waitrose or John Lewis or buy fuel at CSP or Amersham Tesco? If so, you can earn commission for the school by ordering gift cards each month at no extra cost to you, to spend in these stores.
How does it work?
The school makes a bulk purchase of shopping vouchers and receives a percentage back from the retailer (for Tesco its 5%, Sainsburys and Waitrose / John Lewis its 4%). In 2018 a total of £2800 was raised through this scheme alone!
If you would like to participate or find out more information please email CSG.Shopforschool@gmail.com. There is no obligation to do this every month and you can choose whatever amount suits you.
Book People and Scholastic books
The Book People and Scholastic Books are both offering cash returns for the school when you place an order online over £10.
How does it work?
When purchasing books online, type in Chalfont St Giles Infant School, and the school instantly receives a kickback into their account to spend on books for school.
The Book People give the school £1 if you spend over £10. Scholastic give 25% if you spend over £10! There are always offer codes around, you can try GOLDEN20 for the Book People to get 20% off orders over £30. Please do share the links with family and friends. Happy shopping!
