The Big Sunflower project aims to raise awareness of the rare neuromuscular conditions centronuclear and myotubular myopathy by growing sunflowers. 2020 is the tenth year of the project. The sunflower was chosen for its cheery and positive outlook, as if they are on a mission to touch the sky and nothing can hold them back!
We are supporting this project and will be planting our sunflower seeds and running a class competition to see which class sunflower grows the tallest during the Spring and Summer term. The sunflowers will begin to grow in small pots and will then be planted outside of the classrooms. We will keep you updated with how they get on!
