  • Use the Buckinghamshire Council Contact Us form (www.buckscc.gov.uk/contactadmissions) which also provides FAQs to help answer popular queries, and enables us to collect all the information needed to answer a parent’s question more quickly. Depending on the query we may either respond by email or we may ring them.

 

  • Visit your local Library who will be happy to help with accessing the BC website.

Nursery School Admissions

 

Admissions to the Nursery School should be made directly to the School Office, Chalfont St Giles Infant School and Nursery, School Lane, Chalfont St Giles, Bucks, HP8 4JJ. 

 

Pupil admission numbers are 30 in total.

Infant School and Junior School Admissions

 

Application for all Infant School and Junior School places are dealt with by the Admissions Team at Buckinghamshire Council (Bucks C or BC), County Hall, Aylesbury.

 

Although both schools are working together as a hard federation, there are still separate admission processes for each school. 

 

Chalfont St Giles Infant School - 2 form entry - school is allocated up to 60 places by the admissions process. Pupil admission numbers are 30 per class.

 

An Infant School Open Day and a Junior School Open Day are held in October in the Autumn Term.

 

Chalfont St Giles Junior School - 2 form entry - school is allocated up to 60 places by the admissions process. Pupil admission numbers are 30 per class.

 

Places are allocated using criteria which include residence in the school’s catchment area, distance from school and whether or not the child already has a sibling attending the school. Chalfont St Giles Junior school has links with Chalfont St Giles Infant School which is factored into the admissions process. More information can be obtained by contacting the Admissions Team at Bucks CC with regard to your child’s chances of being allocated a place.

Moving up to Secondary School in September 2024

 

Application for Secondary School places are dealt with by the Admissions Team at Buckinghamshire Council, County Hall, Aylesbury.
