This year we will be continuing with our class tree projects and our mission to use outdoor learning to create independent, confident, responsible and effective learners.
Each class has already been introduced to their new tree for the year and will be observing and using it as a learning stimulus throughout the year. Curriculum plans have been created to ensure that each year group can use their tree to inspire their learning in a range of subjects and once every half term the school grounds will come alive with children completing their tree project activities!
*Please ensure your child has a warm coat and gloves in school at all times as these activities do require time spent outside of the classroom.
Photos of these activities will be uploaded to our outdoor learning blog for you all to see.
If you are interested in outdoor learning and would like to volunteer to help with any of our outdoor learning sessions please don’t hesitate to contact us!
Tree project date for this half term:
Friday 14th December 3.00-3.30pm (making tree decorations to hang on our trees).
On the 14th December each class will be creating tree decorations to dress their tree with in celebration of all trees and their importance to our lives. We would like to invite you along to help us make and hang the decorations on the trees. Please contact the office if you would like to join us for this session!
We look forward to sharing our learning with you!
