Welcome to the Chalfont St Giles Infant School and Nursery PTA, which was established to raise funds for the school and to provide social activities for parents and pupils of the school.
Through the various PTA fundraising activities during the 2015/2016 Academic Year, almost £17,500 was raised - THANK YOU!!!! This is an amazing amount of money for a school of this size and the money will be put to extremely good use for various activities/items benefitting all of our children.
This 2016/2017 academic year we are looking forward to bringing you lots of events split over the three terms. These include the popular Breakfast Cafes, Scholastic Book Fayre, Christmas Production Week and Parties, 2nd Hand Uniform Sales, Playground Cake Sales, Family Bingo Night, Mother's & Father's Day Gifts, Easter Egg Hunts, Strawberry Fayre and the ever growing Party in the Park at the end of the Summer term. We are also hoping to add new events such as a Christmas Craft Fair, Toy Amnesty Week and Ferret Racing Family Night.
We shall also be running the crowd funding initiative through Just Giving again - this alone last year raised enough money to purchase computer tablets for the Infant AND Junior schools & for minimal effort is a fantastic way to raise money. Please do keep an eye on the PTA Notice Board in the Infant School Playground showing the upcoming events & dates and a new 'Fundraising Tracker' so you can see how much our events are raising throughout the year!
Of course, all the above could not happen without a dedicated PTA team and the help and support of all the parents who attend and sponsor events, purchase raffle tickets, donate prizes and time, goods and services, provide fundraising ideas and generally contribute in any way they can.
Finally, after six years of PTA duties, Kate Pearsall has stepped down from the role of PTA chair for the Infant School as both her children are now at the Junior School. We'd like to thank Kate for her amazing efforts to raise money for the school over the last six years..... she certainly has left big shoes to fill!
