Year 6 Summer Term Diary Dates 2024

Dear Parents / Carers, 

 

We now have confirmation of some of the Year 6 dates for the summer term, for your diary and for you to be aware of: 

 

Year 6 Personal Best PE festival at Amersham School - Monday 29th April - more details nearer the time

 

Parent Information Meeting - Wednesday 1st May from 5:30pm to 6:30pm - Residential trip, Mini Enterprise SATS and SRE lessons

 

SATS tests - Monday 13th May to Thursday 16th May - tests will take place each day in the morning - more details will be provided at the information evening. 

 

Mini Enterprise - Monday 13th to Friday 24th May - more details will be provided at the information evening. 

 

Class photos and individual year six leavers photos - Tuesday 7th May

 

Residential Trip - Monday 10th June to Friday 14th June 

 

Bikeability Training sessions - Tuesday 28th & Wednesday 29th May - more details nearer the time

 

Year 6 may have option to walk home alone after May half term - more details nearer the time

 

First Aid Training - Tuesday 4th June - more details nearer the time. Costs of part of this day are funded from a generous donation by the Rotary Club.  

 

County Transition Day - Tuesday 2nd July - Year 6 children will attend their new secondary school on this day.  No Year 6 children to be in school

 

Year 6 Dress Rehearsal production - Tuesday 9th July from 1:45pm-3pm 

This will be for the Junior School children and for up to 2 adults, per Year 6 child, who cannot make the evening performance on the 10th July. (edited)

Adults should arrive at the main entrance on Parsonage Road at 1:30. This is the only entrance that will be open at this time.

 

Year 6 Production - Wednesday 10th July from 6pm-7:30pm 
Two tickets will be given to children nearer to the time. Please stick to only two people attending the performance as we are limited with space. There will be a waiting list for additional tickets – details of this will be shared nearer to the time.

 

Bouncy Day - Thursday 11th July - More details to follow on what the day will consist of and what the children should wear.

Year 6 Leavers Assembly morning - Tuesday 23rd July - parents/carers are warmly invited to attend

 

  • 9:30-10:30 Certificate assembly where we celebrate the achievements of Year 6. These will include a variety of awards including the citizenship awards, sports week awards, trip awards for example. Year 5 children will also attend this assembly.
  • 10:30-11:00 Tea and coffee break for parents 
  • 11:00-12:20 Leavers assembly where we will be joined by the rest of the school
  • 12:30 Parents leave the school site.

 

The leavers assembly events are for adults only. Please make alternative arrangements for children under school age.

 

Last day of school year - Tuesday 23rd July - early finish at 2:15pm
