Juniors - Weekly email - Friday 9th December

Dear Parents / Carers
 
It was lovely to see lots of Christmas jumpers yesterday. Thank you to everyone who sent in a donation for Save the Children.


Safeguarding Support - Keeping safe online is a vital skill for children to develop, but sometimes they.need a little help along the way. SSA Vacancies - we are currently looking for a Special Support Assistant to work at the Infant School. Please contact the office if you are interested in this role
 
Absences and meal cancellations - if your child is ill and you would like their school meal order to be cancelled please can you let the office know by email by 9:30am. Thank you
 
Fruit Tree Planting - thank you to all the Eco Warriors who worked really hard to prepare the ground for fruit tree planting on Monday. It got rather stony!  We will finish the planting when the ground is less frozen.
 
PTA Children's Disco - doors open tonight at 6pm and pick up is 7:30pm. Entrance to the school is via Parsonage Road gate only for the disco. Further details on Classlist

Tuesday 13th December 
  • Early Birds Breakfast Club in the ATA Room from 8am to 8:45am - this club is for invited children only - entrance via main Parsonage Road gate
  • Morning Maths Club in the ICT Suite from 8:15am to 8:45am - this club is for invited children only - entrance via main Parsonage Road gate
  • Year 3 no PE today -  children to come to school in normal uniform as have carol service in the afternoon 
  • Year 6 SATS practice tests in the morning
  • Music lessons - Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT - in the Music Room at lunchtime
  • Year 3 / Year 4 Carol Service from 1:30pm to 2:15pm in the Village Church - parents of children in these year groups are welcome to attend
  • Year 5 / Year 6 Carol Service from 2:25pm to 3:10pm  in the Village Church - parents of children in these year groups are welcome to attend
  • Rocky Road Club has now finished for the term
  • Cookery Club with Smart Raspberry in the Dining Hall from 3:30pm to 4:30pm

 

Wednesday 14th December

  • Art Club with Mrs Starrs in the Art Room - for Year 5 & 6 children from 12:45pm to 1:15pm

Yamaha Class Band at Amersham Music Centre - there are 30 spaces available for children in Year 5+ to join these sessions which will start on Saturday 15th January, at Amersham Music Centre (HP7 9HH) at 10am. The cost is £75 per term and includes hire of the instrument Children will be able to choose their top 3 from Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone Horn and Euphonium; and will be allocated 1 of their instrument choices in the first session. Bucks Council Holiday Courses for children - the Role Models company will be running some Resilience Courses for children from 21st - 23rd December at Alfriston School, Beaconsfield.  All children from our school are welcome to participate and places are free for children who receive free school meals.
