Junior - Weekly email - Friday 9th May

Dear Parents / Carers,

Inspection this week - Many thanks to all of the parents who responded to the parent survey concerning our recent inspection, and also to those who sent and gave messages of support - your positivity and faith in the school was greatly appreciated by all the staff team. The children were a credit to the school and they should be very proud of themselves. We will, of course, publish the report as soon as we receive it - we expect this to be in around 6-8 weeks from now.

Netball tournament - congratulations to the netball players who came 2nd out of 13 teams in the netball tournament in Beaconsfield yesterday. A special thank you to Mrs Farshchi and Mf Ballard for all of their hard work supporting our netball players this year.

Scooters - a gentle reminder that children should not be riding scooters on the school site and when riding on public paths they need to be aware of pedestrians. We had a near miss where a child on a scooter nearly hit a parent on the Lagger Close corner this week. Thank you for your support with this

Chiltern Music Academy - we had a fascinating assembly with Hannah l'Anson from the Chiltern Music Academy yesterday and we hope that the children enjoyed learning about all of the instruments that she can play.

Sponsored Walk - we are looking for a few more marshalls for the SPonsored walk on Friday 23rd May. If you are able to help please can you contact the school office or complete the google form here

Year 5 & Year 6 PE - Year 6 will continue to have their PE day on Wednesday for another week. So both Year 5 and Year 6 PE day on Wednesday 14th May.

Bikeability training - we have two spaces on the Year 5 & 6 cycle training during May half term. If you would like to book your child onto these sessions please contact the office - details here

Linking Schools Trip - Year 4 have their visit to Monks Risborough School on Tuesday 20th May. We are looking for another parent helper for this day trip. Please contact the office or speak to a Year 4 class teacher if you can help.

Year 6 Early Morning Social Club will run on the mornings of SATS the tests (Monday to Thursday). This will begin at 8.35am in Acacia class and we would like to invite the children in as close to this time as possible - entrance via Parsonage Road entrance or Lower Playground gate from 8:35am. If children arrive before 8:35am please wait in the dining hall . Year 6 children that usually attend Maths Club and Breakfast Club should continue to attend these clubs at their normal start time, and then come to the classroom once instructed by a member of staff.
