Junior - Weekly email - Friday 27th September

Dear Parents / Carers
 
Well done to the boys team who won three of their football matches on Tuesday and will proceed to the next round of the tournament on 19th October. Sadly the girls team's tournament was called off at the last minute due to yesterday's heavy rain. We will let the players know details if this is rescheduled.

Macmillan Coffee morning - thank you to everyone who joined us for our Coffee Morning today. We also have a fundraising page to make secure, cash-free donations directly to our Coffee Morning - https://www.justgiving.com/CM24062524. Thanks also to the Year 6 helpers and bakers.

 

Harvest Festival donations - we are once again supporting the Parish Church in collecting items for their Harvest Festival. Donated items will be shared between the AllTogether Community Initiative in the village and The Chiltern Foodbank. Donations of tinned or long life foods can be dropped off in the collection boxes outside the school office on Monday 30th September or Tuesday 1st October..

Specific food requested: Tinned fruit • Tinned meat • Tinned vegetables • Tinned custard • Tinned bolognese • Personal toiletries • Rice (500g) • Sardines • UHT milk • Long life juice • Instant coffee •
 
Absences from school - if your child is off school due to illness (or other reasons) please can you inform the office by 9:30am if possible. Thank you

  • Early Birds Breakfast Club in the ATA Room from 8am to 8:45am - this club is for invited children only - entrance via main Parsonage Road gate and via main school entrance
  • Morning Maths Club in the ICT Suite from 8:15am to 8:45am - this club is for invited children only - entrance via main Parsonage Road gate and via main school entrance
  • Year 6 Songs of Praise service at village church (11:30 to 12 service – family and friends are invited to attend)
  • Music lessons - Guitar lessons with Mr Atkinson, BMT - in the Music Room during the day
  • Brass Band England music workshop for Year 4 in the morning 
  • Music lessons - Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT - in the Music Room at lunchtime
  • Lego club in Acer from   with Mrs Rooney
  • AmJam Brass Group - afternoon concert for all children - this group are part of the Amersham Band Group
  • Year 4 Davenies Superstars Festival for 10 invited children - team list is on Sports Board in Dining Hall (there is one Davenies Sports Festival per term for Year 4) - details here
