Dear Parents / Carers
 
Well done to Year 5 for putting on such an enjoyable and informative assembly this week. You had obviously all worked very hard.
 
Thank you to the CSG Community Library volunteers for welcoming some of our children to the library on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Year 4 Woodrow meeting - there will  be a parent information meeting for the Woodrow trip at school in the Dining Hall on Thursday 9th February starting at 6pm.
 
SEN flow chart of our whole school approach - Mrs Bannister has created a flow chart for parents to explain our school’s Special Education Needs (SEN) graduated process at CSG. 
Please find it attached to this email. It has also been added to the SEN section of the school website here.  If you have any questions about it or specific questions about your child, please contact Mrs Bannister via the school office or the contact form on the SEN section of our website. 
 
Football club - starting next Wednesday, Mr O'Sullivan's football club children will be changing in Beech class. Pick up after the club will also be from Beech Class.
 
Menu change - the allergens list for Week 5 has been amended slightly due to a change of supplier - the new version is available on the website here
 
Maths, writing and reading meeting - for parents who couldn't make the meeting on Tuesday there is information in the Learning Section of the website
CSG Warm Space - the days for the Warm Space in the Reading Room have changed slightly and new details are here

Handling Anger in the Family Parenting Course. A four-week course for parents and carers with children aged 5 -16 helping to deal with everyday anger that all families experience. 
Monday mornings (9.30am - 12 noon) OR Monday evenings (7.30pm - 10.00pm) starting on 27 February (27 Feb, 6, 13 & 20 March) at The Saint James Centre, Oxford Road, Gerrards Cross, SL9 7DJ.  Cost £20 (Includes course materials and refreshments). To book a place or for more information visit saintjames.org.uk/handling-anger

Why come on the course?
  • Learn strategies and discover practical tools to help respond to those challenging situations.
  • Understand why and how both we and our children get angry.
  • Discuss evidence-based theory and strategies, delivered by trained and licensed facilitators.
  • Learn in small interactive groups in a relaxed setting.
