Dear Parents / Carers

Well done to Year 6 for all of their hard work during mini enterprise fortnight.

Today, we sadly say goodbye to Mrs Allison. Mrs Allison has worked at Chalfont St Giles Village School for nearly 18 years in a number of different roles but for most of her time she has been involved in school finance. She has always worked hard to make sure the school is run as efficiently as possible and ensured we have been able to resource things for the children as well as possible. I am sure you will join us in wishing her good luck as she starts her new role in the independent sector, and thank her for all of her hard work and dedication to the school over so many years. We will all miss her greatly! I am pleased to announce we have recruited Mrs Chawhan as our new bursar. She joins from a local school and will start with us in August.

Lunch orders - please remember to place meal orders for the first week back after half term, by the end of Monday 27th May

Photo orders - just a reminder that the cut-off date to order the photos with free delivery back to the school is during Half Term!: The cut off date is Wednesday 29th May 2024 at midnight.

Year 6 - First Aid Training will be taking place on Tuesday 4th June. The Misbourne Matins Rotary Club are kindly paying part of the costs for this training but we still have a shortfall. If you able to make a donation please can you do this n ParentMail before the 4th June

Lost property - we have a lot of unnamed school jumpers and PE hoodies in lost property just now. Please ensure that you clearly label items.

Friday 5th July - Non Uniform day today as thanks for donating items for the PTA Tombola Stall - the PTA will be sending home pots to be filled for their tombola stall at the PTA Summer BBQ event and can pots be brought back into school today Friday 5th

Friday 5th July - Oak parents invited for Friday assembly - this assembly starts at 1:20pm and will be about 20 minutes - entrance is via Parsonage Road main gate only

Tuesday 9th July - Year 3 Songs of Praise service at village church (11:30 to 12 service – family and friends are invited to attend)

Tuesday 9th July - Year 6 Dress Rehearsal production - from 1:45pm-3pm - This will be for the Junior School children and for up to 2 adults, per Year 6 child, who cannot make the evening performance on the 10th July. Adults should arrive at the main entrance on Parsonage Road at 1:30. This is the only entrance that will be open at this time.

Wednesday 10th July - Year 6 Production - Evening performance from 6pm-7:30pm. Two tickets will be given to children nearer to the time. Please stick to only two people attending the performance as we are limited with space. There will be a waiting list for additional tickets – details of this will be shared nearer to the time.

Tuesday 23rd July - Year 6 Leavers Assembly morning - Year 6 parents/carers are warmly invited to attend

9:30-10:30 Certificate assembly where we celebrate the achievements of Year 6. These will include a variety of awards including the citizenship awards, sports week awards, trip awards for example. Year 5 children will also attend this assembly.
10:30-11:00 Tea and coffee break for parents
11:00-12:20 Leavers assembly where we will be joined by the rest of the school
