Junior - Weekly email - Friday 15th November

Dear Parents / Carers

It was lovely to start the week with a piano assembly provided by some of Mrs Cicvarova's pupils on Monday morning. They performed brilliantly - well done to all of the piano players.

Drumming assembly - There was a clash with the drumming assembly so it has been moved to the afternoon of Friday 29th November instead. Parents of players are invited to attend and apologies for the last minute change. In December we will have a guitar assembly (5th December) and a combined woodwind, piano and string assembly on 10th December. These assemblies give our musicians a chance to perform in front of an audience and share their music with the school and we hope that each music teacher will present one per term.

After school clubs - Mr Ballard's Year 5 & 6 Netball club on Tuesdays and Year 3 & 4 girls football on Thursdays will be finishing at 4:30pm for the next few weeks as it is getting dark earlier.

Diabetes Awareness Day - thank you for the donations for this charity - the Junior School has raised just over £120 for Diabetes UK.

Library visits - Children will be visiting the library over the next two weeks - if they have library cards then they can choose some books to borrow from the CSG Community library. The library is kindly opening specially for our visits.

PTA Smarties Challenge - Congratulations to Ash class for collecting the most money for the Smarties Challenge

PTA Christmas Gifts orders - Just a quick reminder you have one more week to order to tickets for the Christmas Pop up shop - ordering on Classlist closes on Monday 24th November. The first batch have been delivered to school and will be sent home with children today or early next week.
