Junior - Weekly email - Friday 12th July

Dear Parents / Carers

Thank you to everyone who has helped this week with trips, with providing transport, selling pre show drinks, donating ice lollies for Y6 bouncy day, Year 6 costume making and line learning, chair stacking, selling raffle tickets and PTA running Summer Party this evening. The weather has been mixed but we have still managed to pack a lot into this week. And the Year 6 show of What a Knight! was fantastic. well done Year 6!

Meal orders - the autumn term menu is now available for ordering on ParentMail - full menu details are available here on the website.

Lost property - the lost property box in the Dining Hall will be emptied over the summer any unnamed items will be recycled or rehomed. If you are missing anything please take a moment to check the box. We have a lot of unnamed jumpers just now.

Music lessons - sign up information for children wishing to start music lessons in September has been sent home this week - details here

Year 3 reading volunteers - thank you to the adults who have been reading with Year 3 this year. Your help is much appreciated. There will be no further afternoon reading sessions for Year 3 this term.

Summer Reading Challenge - the Summer Reading Challenge has now started at the CSG Community LIbrary for children aged 4 to 11. Children can sign up at the local library to start their Challenge or you can visit summerreadingchallenge.org.uk
Children set their reading goal (we suggest six books) and record what they have read along the way.. For every book read children can pick up stickers (some are smelly!) as they progress through the Challenge. Children who complete their Challenge are presented with a certificate and a medal. Just go into Chalfont St Giles Community Library or your nearest library to get started. Participants will need to be a member of Buckinghamshire Libraries and you can join in the library. Here is a link the current Bucks library membership form: https://buckinghamshire-gov-uk.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/Library_Membership_Form.pdf
