Infant - Weekly Email - Friday 3rd March

Dear Parents,

The children (and adults) had a lovely day at Bekonscot Model Village, thank you to everyone who went on the trip.

It was so good to see everyone dressed up for World Book Day. The costumes were amazing and the children thoroughly enjoyed their day. Thank you to local author, Rachel Sherfield for coming in and teaching the children how to be authors and illustrators.

Thank you so much to the PTA for running the breakfast cafe this morning.

Nursery Open Day
We are holding a Nursery Open Day on Tuesday 21st March with tours available during the day. Please contact the school office to book a tour. Please see the attached flyer for further information.

Family Day-Friday 17th March
Parents/carers or a close relative are invited in on Friday 17th March between 9.30am and 10.45am. Please let us know if you are able to attend by completing the Google form (link below) by Wednesday 8th March.

Red Nose Day-Friday 17th March
We are again supporting the Comic Relief charity and children are invited to wear something red in return for a suggested £1 donation. This can be a costume with a red theme or just normal uniform with something red.

Community & Cultural Events
Please see here for detail of events coming up in the Parish Church including this Sunday's Messy Church.

PTA News
Help needed - we are looking for a parent to look after the Supermarket Voucher Scheme. The scheme makes approximately £1000 a year for each school which could be hugely expanded if we could sign up new parents.
The role takes about 2 hours a month, although varies slightly if one month is particularly simple or tricky. If you are interested please contact us.

Anti Social Behaviour
Please be considerate of our neighbours when dropping your children off and collecting them.
We have had complaints from the Guide Hut and Garden Room committees regarding children sticking twigs in the locks and litter being left outside.
If you have to drive up School Lane please do not park in the entrance to Rectory Gardens or across 'Crossing Corner'
