Infant - Weekly Email - Friday 25th October

Dear Parents/Carers,
 
We have reached the end of our first half term and it is lovely to see all the children so settled and happy in their learning. We would like to wish everyone a great week off!
 
Odd Socks Day 
We are supporting the Anti Bullying Alliances Odd Sock Day again this year and we are looking forward to seeing lots of wonderful brightly coloured socks in school on Tuesday 12th November. There are more details about the Anti Bullying Awareness Week on their website here https://anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/anti-bullying-week/odd-socks-day Please note this is an awareness day only and not a fundraising event.

Chiltern Toy Bank is open to families in the Chiltern District Council area who need a little extra help this Christmas. Details are on their attached flyer. If you know of any families needing support please encourage them to register with the Toy Bank on their website: www.chilterntoybank.org between 28th October and 24th November.
 

CSG Fireworks - Join us for Magic in the Sky 2024 on Saturday 9th November. Details are  here: https://www.csg-scouts.org/fireworks

Additionally, the fireworks event is entirely run by volunteers, and we need more people to help make it a success. Anyone interested in supporting us can sign up to volunteer using this link:
 
Update from the PTA
  • Please enjoy some Spooky Bakes to start your half term - see you in the infant playground at pick up
  • The Smarties challenge is back - please don't forget to complete the gift aid form! We get an extra 25% if you are eligible.
  • Tickets for the ever festive Christmas Wreath Making are now on sale.
  • Save the Date for the Christmas Fayre - info on classlist, grotto tickets will be on sale in early November

  • Sat 30 November - Village lights switch on, PTA stall
  • Mon 2 December - 'Elfridges - Christmas gift shop for the children during school time - on sale soon
  • Wed 4 December - Wreath Making night - excellent value and great fun with friends - get your tickets now
  • Fri 13 December - Christmas Fayre and Santa Grotto - event will be live next week
