Big Science Event
Last week, Elizabeth, Halle and Zoe from Year 2 travelled as finalists of the Big Science Event to the Science Oxford centre. They presented their investigation to a panel of 6 judges and a theatre full of people. Although they didn't win they did absolutely brilliantly! They were the youngest children there as all of the other teams were junior aged children. Well done to all of you!
School Immunisation Update - Autumn Term
Please see attached a leaflet from the Bucks CC School Nursing team regarding the immunisation program in the Autumn.
Uniform orders via PMG
PMG Schoolwear will be operating an appointment system over the summer for visits to their stores. They strongly suggest early booking as spaces are limited and the stores can be very busy, especially in the last few weeks of the Summer.
Please note that their cut off date for ordering is August 12th, after which uniform items may not be available before children go back to school in September.
Classlist
Our school parents communicate via an App called Classlist. This is the way you are kept up to date with events and news and how the Class Reps contact you. Please see the attached flyer for further information.
Autumn Term School Lunches
The lunch menus have been loaded onto our
website and you are now able to order your child's lunches via ParentMail for the next term. If you have any concerns regarding the allergens, please click
here for detailed information from St Joseph's.
For your convenience you can order up to 3 days in advance; for example you would need to have ordered on Friday for the following Monday, Saturday for Tuesday etc.
For the first day of term, you will need to have ordered by Saturday 2nd September. The lunches for new Reception children will commence on Friday 8th, so please order by Tuesday 5th September. Please be aware that orders MUST be made or changed through ParentMail and not the school office. To see orders that you have already placed, please look in 'Statements' at the bottom of your screen on the App.
Lunch boxes: A reminder that we do not allow sweets, fizzy drinks or chocolate bars in our lunchboxes. For advice on how to provide a healthy lunch for your child please see
here.
We have a number of children attending this school who have a severe allergy to nuts & sesame seeds - including both peanuts and tree-growing nuts. This allergy is not just triggered through ingestion but can also be via touch and inhalation.
Under no circumstances are any items containing nuts or nut products to be brought onto site, either during the school day or before and after school. This includes birthday treats that get handed out to the children. Such products also include peanut butter and Nutella/hazelnut chocolate spread and some cereal bars. Also please do not bring in hummous as this contains sesame seeds. Your cooperation on this matter is very much appreciated.
Medicines - any pupil medicines held in school will be sent home today.
