Juniors - Weekly email - Friday 28th November

Dear Parents / Carers

It was great to see lots of family members in school for our Family Day event this week. Thank you to the PTA for running the cafe during the event.

Weekly Attendance - attendence at the Junior School has been 96.3% this week and this year to date is 95.8%

Family Day - it was lovely to see so many family members in school this week. We are aware that the booking system had some issues around confirmation of bookings and ease of use, so we will be looking at how we can improve this for the next family day.

Christmas Post Box - the Christmas post box will be out by the main office for children to post their Christmas cards. Please can you ensure that your child's cards are clearly marked with the recipient's full name and class. Thank you to our Year 6 delivery team.

Second hand book fair - children will have a chance to visit our second hand book sale on Thursday and Friday next week. All books will be 50p - if children are bringing in money for the book sale please can this be in small change if possible, in a named envelope and handed to the class teacher at the beginning of the school day. Please can all donations be delivered to school by Monday 1st December

If there are books remaining, by the end of the day on Friday, the sale will be open to parents and carers briefly after school on the Friday.

Head lice - we currently have some cases of head lice in school. Please could we ask you to check your child's hair regularly and treat it if required. We ask that long hair is always tied back. Please see here for NHS information

Messages - if you can include your child's name and class in any messages sent in to school that is really helpful in making sure the message goes to the correct person in a timely manner. Thank you

Parental Communication via Email - we aim to respond to emails within two working days. However parents should be aware that this is not always possible if a member of staff is, for example, ill, works part-time or is on a training course. Staff, other than office staff, are only expected to check their emails once a day so that they can focus on learning and teaching.

Warehouse Clearance sale - a massive thank you to both PTAs for running the fundraising sale last weekend. There was a huge amount of work involved but they raised about £3,000 that will be split across the two school PTAs
