Junior - Weekly email - Wednesday 3rd September

Dear Parents / Carers

We hope that you have all had a good summer and are ready for return to school this Friday

School meal ordering - meals for the Autumn term are available to order on ParentPay. Menus are available herePlease note that we have switched to ordering meals 11 days in advance so that we can give St Joseph's more accurate orders. If you need to cancel a meal on the day, you can still do this by contacting the office by 9am on the day.

St Joseph's kitchen - we have been advised that there may be some menu changes over the next few days. As soon as we have more details we will let you know.

Lunch boxes - A reminder that we do not allow sweets, fizzy drinks or chocolate bars in our lunchboxes. For advice on how to provide a healthy lunch for your child please see here. We have a number of children attending this school who have a severe allergy to nuts & sesame seeds - including both peanuts and tree-growing nuts.  This allergy is not just triggered through ingestion but can also be via touch and inhalation so we request that no items containing nuts or nut products be brought onto site, either during the school day or before and after school.  This includes birthday treats that get handed out to the children.  Such products also include peanut butter and Nutella / hazelnut chocolate spread and some cereal bars.  Your cooperation on this matter is very much appreciated.

Snacks for morning break - children may bring in a fruit or vegetable snack for morning break. Break-time snacks should be kept in their bags in the class cloakroom
