Dear Parents / Carers

 

Welcome back to the new half term. We hope that everyone had a good half term break.

 

Odd Socks Day - Monday 10th November is Odd Socks Day and the start of Anti-bullying Week The theme for this year is: Use your power for good. During the week, the children will be reminded about our policy of 'Stand Up, Speak Out' and who they can turn to if they have any concerns about possible bullying. The children are welcome to wear odd socks to school on Monday 10th in order to open discussions about this important topic.
 
Junior PTA - The PTA have lots going on over the next few months. See diary dates below and check on Classlist for further details
 
PTA Kids Christmas Disco - tickets will go on sale on Classlist on Sunday 9th November at 6pm for the PTA kids Christmas disco being held on Friday 5th December
 
PTA Christmas Card orders - items have been sent home with children this week
 
My School Lottery - thank you to everyone who has bought tickets to support our My School Lottery fundraiser 
 
School photographs - contact sheets have been sent home this week for children who had photographs taken in school last month
 
Pantomime Cinderella - M&M Productions will be bringing their live pantomime to our school in January - details have been sent out this week. We are asking for a donation of £4.60 but the payment item on ParentPay will give you the option to donate any amount between £2.30 and £10 for this event. Go to the Payment Amount box on the Payment Screen and enter your donation amount. Thank you
 
Weekly Attendance - attendence at the Junior School has been 98% this week
 
Match result - Wed 5th November - the Gold Netball team won their away match v St Mary's Farnham Royal 8-4 with Reva getting Player of the Match.
 
Poppy appeal - thank you to Year 6 children who have been selling poppies in school this week

  • Cookery Club with Smart Raspberry in the Dining Hall from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Rocky Road club with Mrs Rock & Mr Shankland for invited children in the ATA room from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Year 5 & 6 Netball club with Mrs Farshchi on the Top Playground from 3:30pm to 4:45pm - children may change in Beech - don't forget PE kit and trainers

 

Wednesday 12th November
  • Year 5 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Open Morning for prospective Y3 parents (starting Sep 2026) - details here - tours at 10am and 11am and headteacher's presentation at 10:30am
  • Music lessons - Piano lessons with Ms Cicvarova, BMT- in the Music Room during the afternoon
  • Year 5 Beech class swimming lesson - children to wear PE kit and to bring in swimming kit with towels & goggles if required - details here
  • Tennis club with Mark Schofield on Top Playground from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Club with Mr O'Sullivan on the School Field - children change in Beech class - football boots & shin pads plus football kit or PE kit - from 3:30pm to 4:45pm
 
Thursday 13th November
  • Gym Club (Before School) with Springbucks in the Main hall - from 7:45am to 8:45am - entrance via Parsonage Road entrance only
  • Year 4 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT- in the Music Room at the start of the day
  • Music lessons -  Strings lessons with Mrs Priestley, BMT- in the Music Room
  • Lego club with Mrs Baker in Acer Class - a drop in club for all children (numbers permitting on any given day from 12:20pm to 12:50pm
  • Art club with Mrs Starrs - Year 6 in the Art Room from 12:45 to 1:15pm
  • Year 5 & 6 Football Club with Mr Holmes on the School  Field / Main Hall - football boots & shin pads plus football kit or PE kit (change in Main Hall) - from 3:30pm to 4:45pm - pick up from the back of the Main Hall

 

Friday 14th November
  • Early doors opening - parents are welcome to pop into class, to read with your child or look at work books, from 8:45am until 8:55am (gates will be open from 8:40am on Fridays)
  • Year 6 PE day today -  children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Music lessons - Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT - in the Music Room at the start of the day
  • Music lessons -  Drum lessons with Teach me Drums - in the Music Room during the day
  • Table tennis club with Mr O'Sullivan - for invited Year 3 children in the Main Hall from 12:20pm to 12:50pm
  • Dance Club with Pips Dance Academy in the Main Hall from 3:30pm to 4:15pm - open to all year groups - pick up from Main Hall

Wednesday 3rd December - Year 6 Dodgeball PE Festival during the afternoon - children to wear school PE kit today - will be early start for coach at 8:45am - form here
