Junior - Weekly email - Friday 7th February

Dear Parents / Carers,

We hope that Year 6 enjoyed their trip to the Warner Studios on Tuesday to learn about the making of the Harry Potter films. Thank you to the parent helpers.

A big thank you to the Year 5 parents who are helping year 5 with their cooking and food prep DT lessons this week and next.

Disco this evening - we hope that everyone enjoys the disco this evening. Due to the traffic we will be opening the Hillside and Lagger gates for drop off and pick up for the Disco. However, you must still drop your child at the main school entrance to be signed in and picked up. Do not enter the dining hall through the fire exit doors, only use the main entrance. DISCO times are 5:30pm to 7pm and more details are on Classlist. Please remember that children should not have phones with them during the disco.

New Dance Club - we are delighted that Pips Dance Academy will be starting their new dance club at the Junior School on Friday 28th February. This club is open to all year groups but there are limited numbers - more details have been emailed out to parents this afternoon - club.flyer. Please email Pips Academy to sign children up for this club. The club will run from Friday 28th February to Friday 28th March in the Spring Term.

Wake up to Amersham Music Centre - we are pleased to offer children at your school who play an instrument or love to sing, the chance to participate in a fun event we’re hosting at Amersham Music Centre called ‘WAKE UP TO MUSIC CENTRE’. The event will take place on Sat 8^th February, at the Amersham School (HP7 9HH) from 9am to 12pm - details here

Smart Raspberry Cookery Club - Half term holiday camps - details here

Bucks County Concert Band - two day course in the Easter holidays for wind, brass and percussion players who are grade 3 and upwards. The group will rehearse for a day and then perform alongside Buckinghamshire Youth Wind Ensemble at a concert in Wycombe Abbey School – 9^th and 10^th April. Please do share this with your pupils/parents – there’s no upper or lower limit and they don’t have to audition or have taken any exams! - details here
