Junior - Weekly email - Friday 5th December

Dear Parents / Carers

Thank you to the Year 6 children who have been busy delivering Christmas cards in school. Last delivery will be on Thursday 18th December

A huge thanks to everyone who so kindly donated books for our book sale and a massive thank you to the Year 6 children who have been working hard sorting and selling books yesterday and today.

Weekly Attendance - attendence at the Junior School has been 95% this week and this year to date is 95.8%

Christmas lunch allergen update - Merry Malteser Allergens Barley, Gluten, Soya & Wheat - additionally may contain egg

Pick up messages - Please give as much notice as possible for changes to pick up arrangements. This should be by 3pm at the latest. The end of the day is a busy time in the office, with many parents discussing issues face to face. This may mean that messages received after 3pm are not always able to be passed on straight away, and after 3:20pm it is incredibly difficult to do this. We do understand things can change at the last minute, and will do our best to communicate messages as soon as we get them, but this may not always be possible.

Bucks Domestic Abuse Services - Wycombe Women's Aid offer support to women over the age of 16 with a range of services and advice lines - details here

Volunteer readers - a massive thank you to all of the parents and volunteers who come in to listen to children read each week. This is the last week for reading volunteers in school (no readers week of 15th December please) but we hope that you will all be able to restart in the new year.

PTA Update

Village Lights, Elfridges and Disco - a massive thank you to our PTA for running a stall at the village lights last weekend, for opening up Elfridges today and for running the DISCO this evening

PTA dates

15/12/2025 Christmas Bakes and 3D gifts with other Christmas fayre - Playground after school. More details to follow.

Lost Property - a pair of black size 4 clarks shoes were left behind at a club this week. These are in the office for now

School run clubs - all school run clubs have now finished for the term. A new timetable will be sent out for children to sign up for clubs in the Spring Term

Wednesday 10th December

Year 5 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit (Year 5 children should have their PE tops in school as well as a Christmas Jumper, should they choose to wear one). Year 5 wll be doing PE this afternoon but not in Christmas jumpers
Christmas Jumper Day in support of Diabetes UK. Children may wear a christmas jumper, a blue jumper or they can decorate their school jumper if they wish – suggested donation of £1 for our chosen charity DIabetes UK - note change of date. We will have collection pots in school for cash donations
Open Morning for prospective Y3 parents (starting Sep 2026) - tours at 10am (no heads presentation today)
Music lessons - Brass lessons with Mr Re, BMT - in the Music Room by the Main Hall this morning - note catchup extra lessons
Christmas Lunch Day - booking on ParentPay has now closed - menu and allergens list
NO Tennis club - club has finished for the term

Thursday 11th December

Gym Club (Before School) with Springbucks in the Main hall - from 7:45am to 8:45am - entrance via Parsonage Road entrance only

Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT- in the Music Room at the start of the day
Music lessons - Strings lessons with Mrs Priestley, BMT- in the Music Room
NO Lego club - club has finished for the term
NO Art club with Mrs Starrs - club has finished for the term

Friday 12th December

Early doors opening - parents are welcome to pop into class, to read with your child or look at work books, from 8:45am until 8:55am (gates will be open from 8:40am on Fridays)
Year 6 - There will be no PE on Friday 12th December for Year 6 due to Christmas Carol practice.
Music lessons - Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT - in the Music Room at the start of the day
Music lessons - Drum lessons with Teach me Drums - in the Music Room during the day
Extra Table tennis club today due to missing last week's session
Christmas Service Rehearsal in school during the afternoon (for staff and children only) - children to bring in music and instruments if playing in the Christmas Services
No parent readers in this afternoon due to Carol service practice
Dance Club with Pips Dance Academy in the Main Hall from 3:30pm to 4:15pm - open to all year groups - pick up from Main Hall
