Weekly Attendance - Each week will let you know the weekly attendance for the whole school. We are aiming for an average of 96% this year. This week, Juniors attendance was 96.9%

 
PTA - thank you to Mrs Cameron who has worked so hard running our PTA for the past few years and who stepped down as chair at the AGM this week. She introduced some new and exciting events during her time as PTA Chair.
 
PE Kit - a reminder that cycle shorts or leggings are not to be worn as PE kit in school.
 
  • School logo green T-shirt #
  • Black shorts or skort (no cycling shorts)
  • Trainers for outdoor PE. Trainers should be a single plain colour (but not fluorescent.)
  • Plain, black jogging bottoms with minimal logos, no leggings or cycling shorts. (Dark green remains acceptable until children may grow out of these).
  • Bottle green hoodie or zip up top #
 
MacMillan Coffee morning - some of the Year 6 children have been getting ready for our Macmillan coffee morning to be held on Friday 26th September.between 9am and 9:30am Our JustGiving link is available here https://cm25.macmillan.org.uk/fundraising/CM25006602 
 
School led clubs are starting next week - details here - note that there is no Breakfast club, Morning maths or Homework club this term. A reminder that all gates are open until 5pm on days that after school clubs run. There are still spaces in the Year 5 & 6 girls football club - if anyone is interested you can still sign up or speak to Mr O'Sullivan about joining. Other club sign up links have now been turned off.

Office hours - a reminder that the office is open between 8:30am and 4pm Monday to Friday. Please leave an answerphone message or send in an email if you wish to contact us outside of those hours and we will aim to get back to you within two working days
 
Ukuleles - we are looking for some extra ukuleles to lend to children. If your child has one at home that they no longer use we would be very happy to accept them in school as spares. Thank you
 

Harvest Festival donations - we are once again supporting the Parish Church in collecting items for their Harvest Festival. Donated items will be shared between the AllTogether Community Initiative in the village and The Chiltern Foodbank. Donations of tinned or long life foods can be dropped off in the collection boxes outside the school office on Monday 29th or Tuesday 30th September 

Specific food requested: Tinned fruit • Tinned meat • Tinned vegetables • Tinned custard • Tinned bolognese • Personal toiletries • Rice (500g) • Sardines • UHT milk • Long life juice • Instant coffee •

  • Captiv8 Life / PFO Football Club on the School Field from 3:45pm to 4:45pm - pickup from the back of Main Hall
  • Cookery Club with Smart Raspberry in the Dining Hall from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Rocky Road club with Mrs Rock & Mr Shankland for invited children in the ATA room from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Year 5 & 6 Netball club with Mrs Farshchi on the Top Playground from 3:30pm to 4:45pm - children may change in Beech - don't forget PE kit and trainers
  • Football Boys 7-a-side ESFA match at Thorpe House  - details sent to invited team - manager Mr O'Sullivan - starts at 4pm and finishing slightly earlier at approx. 5pm

 

Wednesday 24th September
  • Year 5 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Music lessons - Piano lessons with Ms Cicvarova, BMT- in the Music Room during the afternoon
  • Year 5 Beech class swimming lessons start today - children to wear PE kit and to bring in swimming kit with towels & goggles if required - details here
  • Tennis club with Mark Schofield on Top PLayground from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Club with Mr O'Sullivan on the School Field - children change in Beech class - football boots & shin pads plus football kit or PE kit - from 3:30pm to 4:45pm
  • Year 6 - Parent information meeting starting at 5pm - all gates open
 
Thursday 25th September
  • Gym Club (Before School) with Springbucks in the Main hall - from 7:45am to 8:45am - entrance via Parsonage Road entrance only
  • Year 4 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Music lessons - Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT- in the Music Room at the start of the day
  • Music lessons -  Strings lessons with Mrs Priestley, BMT- in the Music Room
  • Lego club with Mrs Baker in Acer Class - a drop in club for all children (numbers permitting on any given day from 12:20pm to 12:50pm
  • Art club with Mrs Starrs - Year 6 in the Art Room from 12:45 to 1:15pm
  • Year 5 & 6 Football Club with Mr Holmes on the School  Field / Main Hall - football boots & shin pads plus football kit or PE kit (change in Main Hall) - from 3:30pm to 4:45pm - pick up from the back of the Main Hall
  • Football Girls 7-a-side ESFA match at Farnham Common School - details sent to invited team - manager Mr O'Sullivan - starts at 4pm

 

Friday 26th September
  • Early doors opening - parents are welcome to pop into class, to read with your child or look at work books, from 8:45am until 8:55am (gates will be open from 8:40am on Fridays)
  • Macmillan Coffee Morning from 9am to 9:30am - parents, friends and family are invited to join us in the Dining Hall from 9am to 9:30am to raise funds for Macmillan.  Our JustGiving link is available here https://cm25.macmillan.org.uk/fundraising/CM25006602 Year 6 children have been given details of what to bring in on Friday morning.
