Junior - Weekly email - Friday 14th March

Dear Parents / Carers,
 
Thank you to Mrs Franklin for organising our World Book Day events in school last week. We will be collecting good quality children's books for our book sale next term. These can be dropped into the school office
 
Netball updates - Tuesday's league match was a good one - CDG 13-0 Gerrards Cross. Thursday - another good performance keeps up the winning streak CSG 7 - 2 Seer Green
 
Year 3 - Ash class parent evening meetings will be held on Thursday 20th March from 5pm to 8pm
  • meetings rescheduled from Thursday 6th March 
  • Ms Preston will be in the meeting room near the school office 
  • children's books will be out in the DIning Hall
  • entrance via main Parsonage Road entrance only for these meetings 

 

Friday 21st March is Comic Relief Day and children are invited to wear something red alongside their school uniform in return for a suggested £1 donation to this charity. Children may bring in a cash donation or you can donate via the JustGiving link here. Many thanks
 
Year 3 Skipping PE Festival on Wednesday 26th March  between 1pm and 3:30pm - we still need one more parent to help on the trip to make it viable. If you are able to help that day, please contact the School Office or speak to a Year 3  teacher. Thank you
 
Year 5 Churches visit on Thursday 27th March - we would like to have another parent helper on this trip if possible;. If you are able to help please can you contact the School Office or speak to a Year 5 teacher. Thank you
 
Pencil cases and equipment - a reminder that children are expected to have the following items in pencil cases:
  • 2 pencils
  • a pencil sharpener
  • a rubber
  • a pen - (if your child has their pen licence)
  • a purple pen/pencil
  • a glue stick
  • a whiteboard pen
  • a ruler
  • a pair of scissors

Year 6 Leavers Hoodies - the "go live" day for ordering hoodies is Friday 21st March - look out for an email with ordering details

  • Reading in your child's class - parents are welcome to pop into class from 8:45am until 8:55am (gates will be open from 8:40am on Fridays)

Chairgirls return to Adams Park to play against Reading FC on Tuesday 18th March. We would really value our community turning out in force to come and support the girls, but we also want to make a statement on the importance of women’s football, the growth of the game and showcase our inclusive pathway from first kick to first team. Details here and Booking link.
