Junior - Weekly Email - Friday 12th September

Dear Parents/ Carers
 
We hope everyone has settled into their new classes ready for a full timetable starting from next week,
 
Parent Information Meetings have been held this week and copies of the presentations are given below:

 

 

Weekly Attendance - Each week will let you know the weekly attendance for the whole school. We are aiming for an average of 96% this year. This week, attendance at was 98.2%

 
ParentPay - please remember to select a main and a pudding option to confirm your meal orders on ParentPay. Meals need to have both main and pudding options selected to be confirmed.
 
Packed lunches - we ask that cocktail sticks / mini wooden skewers are not used in packed lunches please.
 
 MacMillan Coffee morning - some of the Year 6 children have been getting ready for our Macmillan coffee morning to be held on Friday 26th September.between 9am and 9:30am Our JustGiving link is available here https://cm25.macmillan.org.uk/fundraising/CM25006602 
 
PTA Kids Disco - the PTA are also busy preparing for the next disco, also on Friday 26th September. Details available on Classlist
Open Days - our open days for prospective new parents for children starting at the Juniors September 2026 will be taking place on Wednesday 22nd October and Wednesday 12th November - details here 
 
Year 3 parents - we hope that you are settling into the routine at the Junior school. If you have any questions please do contact the office.
 
Year 4 class parents - Palm class are looking for class parents. If you would like to take on this role please contact the office or speak to Mr Holmes
 
Pick up messages - if possible please can these be sent in to school before 12pm. If they are sent later in the afternoon it can be difficult to get messages to teachers in time. Teachers will always bring children over to the office if not collected by 3:35/3:40pm.

  • Year 3 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Year 5 Basketball PE Festival during the afternoon - children to wear school PE kit today - normal lunch
  • Music lessons - Piano lessons with Ms Cicvarova, BMT - in the Music Room during the day
  • Music lessons - Brass lessons with Mr Re will start on Monday 22nd September
 
Tuesday 16th September
  • Music lessons - Guitar lessons with Mr Atkinson, BMT - in the Music Room during the morning
  • Music lessons - Piano lessons with Ms Cicvarova, BMT - in the Music Room during the afternoon
  • Captiv8 Life / PFO Football Club on the School Field from 3:45pm to 4:45pm - pickup from the back of Main Hall
  • Cookery Club with Smart Raspberry in the Dining Hall from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Year 4 - Parent information meeting starting at 6pm - all gates open
 
Wednesday 17th September
  • Year 5 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit

Thursday 18th September
  • Gym Club (Before School) with Springbucks in the Main hall - from 7:45am to 8:45am - entrance via Parsonage Road entrance only
  • Year 4 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Music lessons - Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT- in the Music Room at the start of the day
  • Music lessons -  Strings lessons with Mrs Priestley, BMT- in the Music Room
  • PTA AGM - starting at 6:30pm in the Dining Hall - entrance via main Parsonage Road gate
 
Friday 19th September
  • Early doors opening - parents are welcome to pop into class, to read with your child or look at work books, from 8:45am until 8:55am (gates will be open from 8:40am on Fridays)
  • Year 6 PE day today - children to come to school in school PE Kit
  • Music lessons - Piano and Woodwind lessons with Mrs Wayman, BMT - in the Music Room at the start of the day
  • Music lessons - Drum lessons with Teach me Drums - in the Music Room during the day
  • Dance Club with Pips Dance Academy in the Main Hall from 3:30pm to 4:15pm - open to all hear groups - pick up from Main Hall

SENDFEST is a free community event designed for parents, carers, and professionals who have or work with children and young adults with SEND. The morning will feature a wide range of stalls, organisations, and providers showcasing the fantastic opportunities, support, and services available locally. It’s a chance to connect, discover resources, and share experiences with others in the SEND community. Whether you’re a parent, carer, teacher, or support worker – this event is for you.
