Junio - Weekly email - Friday 4th April

Dear Parents / Carers,

Remember it is early pick up today at 1:45pm!

Summer term - summer uniform will apply so ties do not need to be worn

Parking - once again we have been contacted by residents of Parsonage Road and Lagger Close regarding parents parking in an inconsiderate way at school drop off and pick up time. This has involved parents being parked across driveways meaning residents have needed to wait to leave their properties and delivery vans not being able to get up Parsonage Road either. If a delivery vehicle is not able to get up this road, then it is highly unlikely an emergency vehicle would be able to in the event of an emergency in the school - obviously causing significant risk to pupils.

Please can I remind you that Parsonage Road, in particular, should not be used at drop off and pick up time as it is too narrow and becomes too congested. Please use the car park at the playing fields or Blizzards Yard.

Science Week - we still have a significant shortfall in donations for the Science Magic show booked for Thursday 24th April. If you are able to make a donation that would be much appreciated.

Sports Week - as part of our sports week activities, we are looking for volunteers to help provide a physical / sporting activity on our active afternoon on Monday 23rd June. Please contact Mr O'Sullivan, our PE Coordinator, to discuss how you might help.

Chalfont St Smiles - CSG Parish Council have given the children sunflower seeds this week to bring home and grow. Details of the Chalfont St Smiles sunflower competition are included with the seeds.

Music Lessons - we are delighted that the piano teacher, Mrs Cicvarova, is able to extend her teaching hours at our school. She will be contacting children on waiting list for piano lessons over Easter.

Handwriting pens - here are links to our 5 preferred options, which all differ slightly in price Berol Handwriting Pen  or Stabilo Easy Original or Swash Komfigrip Handwriting Pens or Manuscript Handwriting Pens or Staedtler Handwriting Pen

Lost property - a reminder that the lost property box will be emptied over Easter.

Clubs - details of Summer Term clubs have been sent out this week - details here and Timetable

Our School Amazon Wish List - for any gifts, it is always lovely to know who has donated items so we can thank you properly! The link to the gift list can be found here https://amzn.eu/fVdAqFF.  Thank you to the kind parents who sent in gifts recently. These are very much appreciated.
