Infant - Weekly Email - Friday 28th March

Dear Parents/Carers,
 
Year 2 had a wonderful sunny day at Woburn Safari Park on Wednesday learning more about animals. Our thanks to all the parent helpers.
 
Comic Relief Donations Update
Thank you for your donations to last week's Red Nose Day, we have received £99.50. If you would like to donate online please click the JustGiving link here. Thank you.
 
Easter Activities
You are invited to watch your child's Easter activities on Friday 4th April on the Shakman playground. These activities last approximately 20 minutes.
 
Reception at 9.15 am
Years 1 and 2 at 9.30 am.
 
Science Week
Science Week is ending on Friday 25th April with an ‘Amazing Animals’ science show delivered by a member of the team from Science Oxford.

For this show to go ahead we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £1.50 per child. If you are yet to make a donation towards the cost of this event and are able to, we have created a payment item on ParentMail.
 
The Payment item will be shown in the Shop area of ParentMail. Once you have logged on to your account, click on Payments and a To Pay screen comes up - Shop is the middle icon on the bottom menu.
 
Mathseeds
It has been great to see so many children engaging with Mathseeds this term and completing lessons, as well as seeing the enthusiasm the children have shown towards using it! The winning class for this term is Ruby class so well done to all of you in Ruby! Our Mathseeds super students of the term go to:

PTA Update
  • Reminder to check and let us know if you won a GOLDEN TICKET - not all have been claimed so they must be hidden somewhere!
  • A lovely pamper and prosecco evening was held on Friday 14th raising over £260. Massive thank you to Little Retreat and Aunty Clarence's Bakehouse for their support
  • Thank you for supporting our Mother's Day gift purchases to help raise money for the school
  • Easter next week, the PTA has a little treat for every child and who is the PTA Easter Bunny  this year!?!

  • Thursday 3 April - Easter Bake Sale in the infant playground at pick-up - get some yummy Easter themed treats
  • Monday 2 June - LEGOLAND - we have secured an excellent deal for tickets for Inset Day... these will be on sale early next week
  • Saturday 7 June - Strawberry Fayre - SAVE THE DATE!!
