Dear Parents/Carers,
Sapphire Class assembly
Sapphire class performed brilliantly this morning in their assembly 'The Hungry Caterpillar'. Well done to all of you.
Nursery trip to the Chiltern Open Air Museum
Nursery visited the Chiltern Open Air Museum today and had a fun filled day in the sunshine. Thank you to the parent helpers and to the nursery team, the children had a wonderful time.
PTA Donation towards Year 2 Tower of London trip
We would like to say a huge thank you to the PTA for paying for the Knights and Castles workshops.
Manners Matter Week
Next week will be our 'Manners Matter' week, where all staff will be on the lookout for children who are showing excellent manners, kindness and respect. When staff see these behaviours (such as holding doors open, stopping to let others through, saying good morning, please and thank you and many more!) they will give them a Catch Me card. These cards will go into the class pot, and at the end of the week there will be rewards for the classes. Do ask your children if they have received any catch me cards next week!
TikTok Songs and Videos
It has come to our attention that some children are viewing songs and dances on TikTok, and then copying and repeating these in school and with their friends. Unfortunately, some of these songs have lyrics with very explicit content. Please can I encourage you to be aware of what your child is viewing on devices and what they have access to. TikTok should only be used by children who are 13 years old and over. For more support on e-safety parental controls, please see the links below.
Below is also guidance on apps and settings you can add to your children's devices to help limit access to certain apps and amounts of screen time.
Mathseeds
Well done to all the children who have logged onto Mathseeds this week - this week has been much better than last week although some classes are still not using it as much! Please encourage your child to have a go as this will really help develop and secure their maths skills. The class who has engaged with Mathseeds the most is Sapphire class with Ruby class in 2nd place. The children who have completed the most lessons this week are:
Pearl - Zach and Jack
Sapphire - Joseph and Scarlett
Emerald - Alex and Annabelle
Ruby - Cleo and Siena
Amethyst - Henry and Mya
Diamond - Isla and Florence
