Infanr - Weekly Email - Friday 5th September

Dear Parents/Carers,

It has been lovely to welcome everyone back to school. Our new Reception children thoroughly enjoyed their first induction session and there were lots of smiling faces. We are looking forward to welcoming our nursery children from Tuesday. We will be continuing our Growing Great Learners activities next week with lots of interesting lessons planned.

SCHOOL COMMUNICATION - PLEASE READ!
Please can we ask that ALL parents read this weekly email as it is likely to contain important information for your child. Previously parents have missed out on key pieces of information which have been included on the weekly email.

Governing Board
The Governing Board is looking to fill a vacancy with a new governor drawn from current parents and carers.  No qualifications are required; you just need common sense, time, enthusiasm and a commitment to working as part of a team to make a difference to the education of all the children at our school.  The experience can provide an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and is both interesting and rewarding.  Being a school governor would take on average about 2-3 hours a week of your time, including some meetings in the evenings and some during the school day (a number of employers grant time off for school governor duties).  The term of office is four years and full training is provided. This is not an elected position, anyone who applies will be interviewed by a small group of current governors, then the full governing board will take the decision on whom to appoint. To find out more, please email chairofgovernors@csgvillageschool.org.
