Infant - Weekly Email - Friday 3rd May

Dear Parents/Carers,

Maths Story Books
We would like to continue with a maths focused story time once a week to help children embed key skills through stories. We started this last year and it has been working brilliantly but would now like to build up some more books if possible. If you would like to help the school and donate a book, please click on the link below and then hand the books into the office for the attention of Mrs Ketley:Thank you!

Illness
Please be reminded that if your child is unwell and needs calpol to alleviate symptoms such as a temperature, they should stay off school that day. Thank you for your support.

Mathseeds
It is once again lovely to see how many children have logged onto Mathseeds this week - we can see how many of you are now completing the lessons, which is great! The class who spent the most time on Mathseeds is Pearl class with Diamond class in second place - well done to you all! The children who have spent the most time and completed the most lessons this week are:

Pearl: Grace and Aanav
Sapphire: Jamie and Phoebe
Emerald: Lara and Alaina
Ruby: Lucy and Carina
Amethyst: Immy
Diamond: Poppy and Bryn

School lunch on 22nd May
Please also note that on Wednesday 22nd May the Memorial Hall is not availble for school lunch so the children will be having a picnic lunch.  The menu on ParentMail has been changed accordingly for you to order sandwiches.

PTA updates

  • Strawberry Fayre - we need volunteers - we can't run it without you!
    • Thank you to all the volunteers who have signed up for their class stalls. It's only 1 hour on the day. Look for the sign-up list for your class under Classlist events.
    • If you can offer more time, help set up / clear up, please join the WhatsApp community or the Friends of the PTA chat or message Infant PTA.
    • We are looking for donations. Unopened gifts and bottles for adult and child tombola, good quality toys, and party bag surplus for prizes. Please get them ready we will start collecting next week.
  • We had our termly PTA meeting this morning with Mrs Mannion. We're hoping to have a few teachers in the stocks for a good soaking at the Strawberry Fayre! But we agreed some of the upcoming events and discussed funding.
