Reading Eggs - New Online Resources to Support Reading at home

Over the past few weeks, children across both schools have been trialling the Reading Eggs Scheme. This is a fabulous resource designed to build children's reading and comprehension skills. For more information about the scheme please see the attached information sheet. The feedback from children, parents and staff has been very positive so we have decided to purchase the scheme for the next 18 months. On 15th May at 18:30 at the Junior School and 18th May at 09.00 at the Infant School, we will be launching the scheme and showing parents how to use the resources. We look forward to welcoming you.

The introduction of the Reading Egg Scheme has been made possible through the support of Chalfont St Giles Community Library. We would like to thank the trustees for their generous support. Please encourage your children to get in the habit of borrowing books from the Community Library this will really help with improving their reading and enjoyment of books.

You can join Bucks libraries at the Community Library via the BCC website here -

Children can borrow up to 20 books on their library card and book reservations are free for children.

Each class has a scheduled visit to our Community Library during the school year during which time the library opens just for us during the school day.
