Year 6 - Last day arrangements - sent 8th July

Dear Parents/Carers

As the final fortnight of the children's time in Year 6 is with us, we wanted to let you know of our provisional plans for the last day of school.

As you are aware, we are unable to hold our normal end of term events, but we have been working within the government guidance to try and give the children a special send off.

On your child's final day, we will be providing them with a party picnic within their bubbles. We will be following all guidelines and taking all precautions in how we distribute the food to the children. Please let us know if you would prefer for your child to not have this and have a packed lunch from home instead.

We would also like to invite you to a short leavers presentation on your child's final day of school. This will either be on Wednesday 15th or Friday 17th, depending on your assigned days.

We would ask you to arrive slightly earlier than normal for the pick-up, at 2:45pm. Please bring a chair or a picnic rug, which you can set up in the indicated areas. Please do this ensuring you are following social distancing guidelines of 1 metre plus.

We will then be giving out some end of year awards, saying some goodbyes, as well as there being a short performance from the children.

After this has taken place, please do not come over to your child. We will have to dismiss them as normal and the procedure for leaving the school will be the same as in previous weeks.

Please be aware that in the event of bad weather, it may not be possible for these events to take place. If this is the case, we endeavor to inform you of any changes and we will notify you of any alternative celebration if we are able to provide one.

Thank you for your continued support. It has been a joy to have the children back with us and to see them so happy with their peers. We hope that this final day will go some way in ensuring they feel that have had a happy and special leavers experience.

Best Wishes

Miss Warner and Miss Murray
