As part of our plans in the summer term, we are hoping to give the children some exposure to different careers they may be interested in in the future.
We are hoping that this day will be on Monday 21st June. During the day, we would like to invite parents to come in and share their careers with the children. Naturally, this will all be dependent on the government restrictions at the time and we would hope to offer virtual talks as an alternative if this is the case.
Careers day aims to give the children a glimpse into what their future could hold as they grow up and begin to think about these things.
These visits are the highlight of Careers Day and have always inspired the children. In the past we have had visits from a variety of fields, including representatives from medical, armed forces and STEM backgrounds.
The career talks do not have to be long or detailed, the children enjoy hearing about your careers, seeing some pictures, uniform or equipment your job requires.
If this is something you would be willing to do, please can you reply to this email, stating your career and when you would be available to come in (if possible), or do a virtual talk on Monday 21st June. We can also answer any further questions you have about coming in and what the day involves.
