Weekly email - sent out Thursday 19th December 2019

Dear All
Huge congratulations to all of Year 3 for a fabulous show this week. It was both uplifting and informative - well done to everyone - you should all be very proud of yourselves. Thank you to the Year 3 staff for organising this show.
PTA film evening - thank you to the PTA for organising the film evening last week and we hope that the children enjoyed the film.
Pencil Cases and Stationery - please ensure that your child comes to school fully equipped with essential stationery items in the New Year (except Year 3 for whom items are still provided in class). We ask that children have pencils, handwriting pens (if they have their licence), glue sticks and rulers. The school office sells all of these items and we also sell pencil cases filled with all the stationery your child will need. Large pencil cases are £5 and small pencil cases are £3.50.
Christmas Jumper Day - thank you to everyone who donated and helped us to raise £196 for Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
Walk on Wednesdays - all of the children who had walked to school on each of the WoW days this term were entered into a draw. We are pleased to say that Oliver B in Year 3 won the Sports Direct Voucher.
Thank you tea and cakes for all of our volunteer helpers - we would like to invite all of our volunteer helpers to join us at the Infant School between 9am and 10am on Friday 10th January 2020. This is for anyone who kindly volunteers in school whether as a governor, parent reader, PTA member, library helper or other helper.
Christmas Holidays Photo Competition - we are running a competition over the school holidays for children (and staff) to send in one photo that captures their enjoyment of the holidays - this could be a photo of their decorations, or a place that they have visited or just of something that has caught their attention whilst out and about. However, their photo should not show any people, including themselves!. One photo per child should be emailed to with the subject heading of "Photo Comp 2019" and your child's full name and class in the subject line. Remember, no people - any such photos will be rejected! There will be one winner per class and overall prizes for first, second and third place across the school.  All valid entries will be added to our photo gallery on the website here . The deadline is 9:30am on Monday 6th January and winners will be announced during assembly on Friday 17th January. Good luck!
School Clubs - details of the clubs for next term have been added to the website here and an email with full details has been sent out this week. Paper copies of flyers are also available in the letter holders outside the school office.
