Pantomime - Jack and the Beanstalk
We have once again invited M&M Productions into school to perform a live production for the children and this year the pantomime is Jack and the Beanstalk.
This show will provide the children with a first-hand experience of live theatre with opportunities to get involved through audience participation.
Obviously such experiences come at a cost to the school so we shall be requesting a voluntary contribution of £3.50 per child towards the costs of these performances. I feel that this represents very good value for money, especially when compared to the cost of going to a theatre to see a live show.
As the show takes place within school hours, under the terms of the 2002 Education Reform Act no charge can be made by the school for the pantomime. We therefore invite you to make a voluntary contribution of £3.50 to cover the cost of this production by M&M Productions. This contribution can either be made through the ParentPay system or via the School Office using the attached form (please send in cash or cheque, with your completed form, in a named envelope with Jack and the Beanstalk written on it. Cheques to be made payable to Chalfont St Giles Infant School and Nursery).
There is no obligation upon any parent to contribute in this way; it is entirely voluntary. All children will be able to take part in watching the pantomime regardless of whether parent(s) have been able to make a contribution. However, if we do not receive a sufficient sum in voluntary contributions the visit will have to be cancelled since we could not cover the cost from the school funds. If payments can be made by Monday 27th November we can then review if we can proceed with the pantomime.
Many thanks for your support.
