Dear Parents and carers
World Book Day is fast approaching and I thought I would give you an idea of what will be happening.
World Book Day itself is Thursday 4th March but we will be building up to the day with lots of book related activities. This week, the children have been thinking about their favourite books and completing their own independent projects based on their book. In the small group sessions next week they can show these to the rest of their group as well as wear any costume or accessories they would like to.
On World Book Day itself, there will be live story sessions from your child's year group adults. Please keep your eye on the class stream for updates about World Book Day Events in your child's year group.
When your child returns to school they can collect their book token.
There will be a video assembly that goes out on Thursday 4th (WBD) next week to explain this further. This year, there are also virtual tokens being issued, the virtual token is attached to this email. We have our annual book fair on the week commencing April 26th. I have confirmed with scholastic that the book tokens will still be valid to use at the book fair this year.
Events taking place next week - these will also be shared with the children on the class streams
Scholastic have a full timetable of live events next week - the password to register for these events is
