Junior - wekly emeail (sent home Friday 11th January 2019)

Dear all
We are all now settled into the new term and externally run clubs are starting next week. There are still spaces available at most of the clubs so do please contact club organisers. All details are on the Clubs Page of the website.

Homework - via the Governor survey, during parents evening, some parents have asked for further clarity about how much time should be spent on homework. We are currently reviewing our homework policy and as part of this will consider suggested timings for each part of the homework ie maths, spelling etc. As soon as this policy has been reviewed and ratified by the Governors we will share it with you.
Deanway Pavement work - we have been advised by BCC that footpath maintenance works will be taking place on the Deanway and will involve traffic lights on the Deanway operating between 09:30 and 15:30 weekdays during the 5 weeks that the work will take. No start date other than mid-January depending on the weather but look out for the advance warning signs.
Staff Car Park - a polite reminder that parents and relatives are not permitted to use the Staff Car Park to drop off before school or to collect children after school or from clubs without prior permission. The side gates are open in the mornings between 08:40 and 09:05 for children coming in to school and there is parking at the Bowstridge Lane playing fields or parking permits can be provided for parents to park in the Blizzards Yard car perk in the village. The side gates are again open from 15:20 for collecting children and these gates remain open until 17:00 on evenings that school clubs are running. Thank you.
Pick up notices - please can emails be sent in by 12:30 with both name and class of child that is being collected. If your child has a medical appointment please can you also let the office have details as soon as possible. Thank you
