Junior - Weekly email sent on Friday 18th January

Dear All

A huge thank you to the PTA for selling disco tickets before school this morning. There are still a few tickets left so if your child would like one, please put form and payment in the PTA box on Monday,

Homework - as part of the ongoing discussion on homework prompted by parental requests spellings will from next week be issued on a Wednesday to be tested the following Wednesday.

Snow procedures - if there should be snow Mrs Peal will assess the school site and staff availability and decide if the Junior School will be open/ closed or open with a delayed start. Once a decision has been made we will update the scrolling banner on the website homepage / send out an all school email and also post on Classlist and TheSchoolApp. More details on the website.

Deanway footpath works - we have been advised by the Parish Council that the footpath works are due to finish 15th February.

PTA News - we were very sorry to learn that Mrs Pearsall had decided to step down as PTA Chair at the Junior School. She has always worked closely with our Infant and Junior Schools and we would like to thank her for her cheerful and enthusiastic attitude to the role and her dedication to our schools and the children. We look forward to continuing to work with her in her role as class parent.  I am sure you will join me in thanking Mrs Pearsall for her time and energy. Moving forward we will continue to work hard with our PTA Committee as they strive to support the school and raise funds for all of the children. Please remember that these volunteers are here to help our schools and if you have any queries or questions about events or communication that you direct them to the school.

Menu change for Tuesday the 5th February - St Joseph's hub kitchen have created a special menu to celebrate the Chinese New Year

  • Chicken Sweet & Sour or

  • Jacket Potato or

  • Vegetable Spring Rolls (Vg)

  • with Steamed Rice, Stir-Fried Vegetables and Sweetcorn.

  • Plus Toffee Apple Sponge & Cream or Fresh Fruit or Yogurt
