Junior - Weekly email sent home Friday 24th May

Dear all

What a lovely week we have had. We celebrated National Bee Day on Monday with a visit from local beekeeper Dr Marsh who talked to all of the children about how important bees are. We continued our bee theme yesterday on Outdoor Learning Day when most of our lessons took place out of the classrooms. Children were pond dipping, doing outdoor maths and making honey welsh cakes.  Year 6 have had a busy week working in their house teams on their mini enterprise sales. There has been much competition to see which team can create the most popular items to sell. The PTA have been in today selling tickets for the Beach Party disco next month. The Dogs Trust have been in today to give an assembly and to runs some workshops on caring for dogs. Class photos were taken on Monday and proofs will be available after half term. On Tuesday all of the classes took part in inter house sports activities run by a secondary school teacher from the Sports Partnership.
