Junior - weekly Email (sent home Friday 15th March)

Dear All

Despite the bad weather this week Year 3 managed to spend the day at Shortenills learning about the Stone Age. We also had two football matches - a league match against Stoke Poges, sadly lost 0-3 and a cup game against Great Missenden that the team won 2-1 so they are through to the next round - match reports will be added to the blog soon. It has been lovely to see so much red around school today - thank you to everyone for supporting our Comic Relief charity day today and we have collected £400 through donations and selling red noses.

EcoCorner - we currently collect used stamps in aid of the Air Ambulance Service and we are going to start a crisp packet recycling scheme. There will also be another pop up ReLoved Clothes shop after Easter. Details of these schemes and the gardening competition will be available soon. Thank you to the many children who have been collecting litter around the school and on the way to school. It has been lovely to hear that they have been helping look after our environment and many people have noticed. Please just remember to wash your hands afterwards. Thank you to the children who have been bird spotting and bringing in bird feeders for their class trees. Look out for photos of the children's Eco Pledge Learning Logs that are coming soon!

Notice of daytime appointments - please can you let the office know as soon as possible if you need to collect your child during the day for appointments.
