Junior - Weekly email (sent Friday 8th November)

Dear All

We hope that the children have enjoyed learning about different weather types and the science behind them during Science Week - please keep an eye on the blog for further details of what they have been working on this week.

Book Fair - we have a Scholastic Book Fair in school next week and we have sent home flyers this week. If you wish to buy vouchers in advance, rather than sending in cash with your children, details are on their website here. The bookfair will be open lunchtimes from Tuesday to Friday between 12:20 and 1pm. Parents and family are welcome to visit at lunchtimes.

Flu vaccination - the deadline to provide consent for your child to have a vaccination in school is end of day on 22nd November - vaccinations will only be given to your child if you have completed the online consent form - details are given on the letter here. As of Monday 4th November only 139 have signed up for this free service that is available to children of all year groups,

School Photos - Contact sheets of the school photos have been sent home this week. Parents are offered a free delivery, to school, if orders are placed by 21st November.  There will be a delivery charge for all orders placed after this date.  All orders that were placed before the order-by date will be delivered to the School on 6th December. Further details have been sent out in a separate email.

Online safety advice from CEOPS - we have added links to some of their most popular articles to the E-Safety for Adults section of our website. Articles cover Having a conversation with your child  and Sharing pictures of your children

Free School Meals - we are happy to run checks, in confidence, if you think that your child might be entitled to Free School Meals. A copy of the form is on the website here or is available from the School Office.

Accident-Free in CSG - Junior School - a reminder to people who are parking on Parsonage Road and obstructing driveways in Hillside Close and Lagger Close - please park elsewhere. The areas around the school are unsafe and our children are walking in the roads due to the unnecessary and dangerous parking on pavements.
