Junior - Weekly email sent Friday 26th April

Dear All

Welcome back to school. We hope that you all had a relaxing break over Easter and we are looking forward to the Summer term.

It was lovely to meet Trixie and Mrs Radcliffe yesterday when they visited our school. Trixie is our new Pets as Therapy Reading Dog and they will be reading with invited children on Tuesday afternoons.

The EcoWarriors are planning another ReLoved Clothing Sale and they are now collecting items for their  next Pop Up Shop - see flyer for more details but clothing to be brought in by Monday 20th may.

Club places - see clubs page on our website for details of this term's clubs - there are places still available for most of the externally run clubs and cricket club but the athletics club is now full.

Bikeability Cycle Training - there have been more applications that we had places for this year so apologies to those who have not got a place. We have informed parents of children who are on the waiting list, though it is unlikely that any places will become available. We will be sending out details of timings next week for those who have places.

Year 3 - Year 3 will be exploring the village as part of their topic work this term. If there are any volunteers with a current school DBS. Year 3 would like a few adults to accompany them. Afternoon of Friday 10th May. Please contact class teachers or the school office if you are able to help.

Year 4 - PE lessons are back on Thursday afternoons so children will need PE kit

Year 5 - PE Lessons are back on Wednesday afternoons so children will need PE kit

Year 6 - The children have been given a Citizenship challenge card which they will be bringing home this week. Inside, there are various challenges for them to complete which relate to their community, well-being or the wider world. We would really appreciate any support you could give your child to complete the challenges. Many of them will also be able to be completed in school. Awards will be given during the end of year awards assembly for bronze, silver and gold for completing 25%, 50% or 75% of the challenges respectively.  Please ask if there are any questions. Mrs Bannister and Miss Murray.
