Message from Mrs Peal - We've had a great day today! With plenty of laughter and fun including decorating and eating biscuits together. I held short assemblies at each school so we could all spend time together and wish each other well. As a school we would like to thank parents who have sent messages of support and encouragement for our staff. We are going to miss our school family and send you all lots of love and best wishes for a healthy and safe time at home.
Now for some practicalities:
Child care offer: All parents who are eligible for this offer have been contacted. The school is closed to all other children. All other children MUST not attend. Please see the Government guidance about self isolation here
Online safety: Before your child begins their online learning- please make sure that you go on the Thinkuknow website at https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/ .There are plenty of resources to support parents and children with keeping safe.
Medicines in school - children who have medicines in school have been given these to bring home today. If your child was not in today and you would like to collect their meds please can you email the office to arrange for collection.
Donated items: We would especially like to thank all of you who so kindly brought in donations for the most vulnerable families in our school community. These packs have been gratefully received and we know that they will make a real difference to the families
Letters and emails - we have heard of a few care homes where they are asking for letters and emails for their residents over the next few weeks. It would be lovely if children could spend some time perhaps writing or sending pictures.
Message from Swarthmore Care Home: Can we ask you for a favour? We have restricted access to our home but that doesn't mean we aren't sociable. Could you take the time to write to us? A card, a letter, a drawing? Tell us where you are. Who you are and tell all of our residents a bit about your day? What you like doing and if you send your address we can write back too. All ages most welcome. We might be behind closed doors but we've got lots of people who would love to hear from you. Address below or they have a post box on their wall.
Address is: Swarthmore Care Home, 31 Marsham Lane, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, SL9 8HB
Anxiety clinic - this was to be run by CAHMS next Monday but has been postponed
Bikeability Training - Bikeability training is still scheduled to take place during the Easter holidays (places are still available) - letter. if we have any updates from BesSpokes Cycle Training we will pass these on to those of you who have signed up.
Our kindest regards to you all.
