Junior - Weekly email sent Friday 14th June

Dear all

Despite the poor weather this week we have managed to fit in the Year 6 games, a Year 4 trip to Windsor Castle, Beech class had a bowls taster session and Year 3 went down to the village church to make sketches and complete the church trail. Ash class have had the second of their food workshops and the Dogs Trust have visited Year to talk dog welfare and safety, and responsible dog ownership. We hope that everyone enjoys the beach themed disco this evening.

Parsonage Road - we are continuing to have reports of potentially dangerous driving on Parsonage Road and inconsiderate parking. We do ask that parents do not use this road and do not park on this road at pick up or drop off times. Our Safe Parking Zone is described in full on the School Travel Planning page of our website and is also summarised below. There is free parking on the Bowstridge Lane playing fields car par or parking permits are available for the Blizzards Yard car park behind the CoOp. Thank you.

Casual Midday Supervisor and Kitchen Assistant roles - we are looking to recruit for both these positions. If you or anyone you know may be interested in these positions or would like to find out more information then please email either School Office.

Year 4 - Palm - Just a reminder that the children are spending time gardening during summer term so they will need a waterproof and old shoes/wellies just in case the sun isn't shining. We will be in the garden on Mondays and Fridays for the next few weeks. If you have any questions please let me know. Kind regards Miss Balaam

Year 6 - The Year 6  Class parents are busy organising Leaver's Book and other end of term activities. Please could you regularly check Classlist for updates from Acacia and Bonsai class parents. A huge thank you to the parents who are organising these end of school events and activities for both parents and children.

Football team - if your child has played for the school football team this year please can you check for a pair of black Nike shorts that go with the football kit. We are still missing one pair.

Spelling survey - thank you to everyone who completed our spelling survey. This is now closed.

ParentPay - Year 6 leavers please note that money on your child's Junior School ParentPay dinner money account cannot be transferred to their new school. In July we will reduce the minimum amount that can be paid into ParentPay for meals.
