Dear All
We are hoping that the weather is a bit more settled for Year 5 for their PGL trip next week but we are sure they will have a great time whatever the weather.
Well done to Arya, Sophie and Bethan who raised £207 in support of the Dogs Trust with their bake sale last Friday.
Menu change - American Day Menu on Thursday 16th May -
Pork Sausage or Vegetarian Sausage in a Hot Dog Bun with Tomato Ketchup and Chips with Mini Donuts for pudding. Allergen details will be added to the website when we have them.
Year 5 - the Summer Term topic guide for Year 5 has been added to the class page of the website here
Year 6 - The SATs presentation (including the full timetable) and the France presentations have been added to the Year 6 class page on the website.
Social media and friendships - there have been several small problems with friendships which are being dealt with at school by Year 6 staff. Upon investigation we have noted that these are being exacerbated by use of social media particularly Instagram. We strongly recommend that you close your children's accounts as we feel that the children are not yet mature enough to cope with the ramifications of these interactions. Please note that your children are not of an age where they should have access to social media sites (https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/11_13/Need-advice/Ready-for-social-networking/ and https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/).
Bottle top art project - Mrs Burge and some of the children have now completed the bottle top art project so we do not need any more plastic tops. The artwork will be put up in the main hall shortly but we have added some photos to the website here.
Communication - we have had a few issues with our mailing lists since Easter. We hope that these are all fixed but if you need to check letters are here on the website and many emails are on the latest news page here
Stationery - please ensure that your child comes to school fully equipped withessential stationery items. The school office has stock of pens, pencils , rulers etc available to buy at very competitive prices. We also have pencil cases filled with all the stationery your child will need . Large pencil cases are £5 , small pencil cases are £3.50.
