Junior - Weekly email (sent 5th July 2019)

Dear all

We have been so lucky with the weather this week and the children have been able to take part in lots of different activities during our sports week.

A huge thank you to Mr Williams, Mrs Shack and Mrs Stephenson for sharing their time with us and leading sessions on football, dance and pilates.

It was lovely to spend the day with all of the children who will be starting with us in September and for children to meet their teachers for next year.

The sponsored walk was a colourful parade of sporting superstars with represented sports ranging from cyclists and horse riders to swimmers, gymnasts and footballers. Thank you to our marshal volunteers. Sponsor money can be paid in via Parentpay or cash can be sent in to the school office in a named envelope. In total, the children walked an amazing 3,530 laps, each class averaging 16 laps. Bonsai achieved the highest average lap total, while Nathan in Year 6 achieved the highest individual total, with 25 laps.

The marathon yesterday was a true endurance event for some children with everyone pushing themselves to complete their allotted laps - it was great to see the children supporting each other in their running.

Today we have enjoyed a day of sporting activities in the sunshine. We hope that everyone enjoyed the day today. Thank you to the PTA for providing refreshments this afternoon.

A special thank you to Mr O'Sullivan and Mrs Crosbie for all of their hard work preparing for and organising this week. Also thank you to the sports leaders from Chalfonts Community College who have been helping us this week. And congratulations for Cook for being the winning house this week.

Year 6 - Evie, Kitty, Lilly and Olivia would like to say thank you to everyone who supported their Ice pop sale. Thanks to your generosity they raised £100 for Age Uk
