Junior - Weekly email - Friday 6th May

Dear Parents / Carers

Sports Week - We are holding our annual sports week in the week starting Monday 27th June. Two parents have very kindly offered to run a dance session and a fitness circuits session as part of a carousel of activities to be held on the afternoon of Monday 27th. Would any other parents be willing to offer a similar PE / sports session on that afternoon as well? In the past we have had parents supporting us with football and pilates, for example. If you are willing to be part of our carousel of activities for that afternoon, please get in touch with the school office or speak to Mr O'Sullivan. Thank you

Bikeability - we still have a few places in the cycle training sessions at half term. If anyone in Year 5 or 6 are interested please contact the School Office

Sports for Champions on Wednesday 25th May - a reminder to parents that you can send your child's sponsorship form and money into the school office. If you are paying online the CrowdFunder page for our school is here  https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/chalfontstgiles.  As part of the visit there will be an assembly for the children then an exercise session with the visiting sportsman, in which they will be completing as many repetitions of a specific exercise for 1 minute. Children to wear school PE kit on the day please. We are asking for your support by sponsoring the children, and we ask that completed forms and money be returned to the school office by Friday 13th May (in envelopes if possible).  Any funds raised for the school will be going towards the purchase of new sports and PE equipment.

Dogs on site - a polite reminder that we do not allow dogs on the school site. We can also not release children to siblings or to parents that are not visible. Please make arrangements to leave dogs at home, or if you have to bring the dog to school, you will need another parent or carer to release your child.

Mobile phones in class - a polite reminder that parents should not be using their phones whilst in any of the classrooms. Thank you

School clubs - school run clubs are starting next week - details are on the website here

French Club and Drama Club are both new clubs that started in school this week. Numbers are currently quite low for both of these so if your child would like to join please contact Little Language Academy for French Club details here or Through the Wardrobe Drama Club details here
