Well done to the teams who played in matches this week. The girls U11s and the boys U10s football teams both had matches, as did the U11s netball team who had a very good win 21-0 against Iver Village School.

Year 3 - Junk modelling. Year 3 are doing junk modelling for their next Art and Design project this half term. Ideally each child will need a cereal box (empty please). In addition we are looking for cardboard (from cardboard boxes), some cardboard tubes (not toilet roll tubes please), soft brown parcel / kraft paper (such as is used as packing in some parcels), tissue paper, some newspaper and some packets of kitchen roll If you could support us by bringing in any of these items that would be very much appreciated.
Year 4 - Soap Carving - Year 4 will be carving soap as part of our Art unit for this half term. Please can every child bring in a bar of soap to carve by Friday 7th of March, the soap can be any colour.
World Book Day --Our theme this year will be ‘Read Your Way’.To help celebrate this theme, we would like to invite your children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character OR wear an outfit they like to read in, such as comfy clothes or pyjamas. As always, dressing up is optional, and your child can wear their school uniform if they would prefer not to dress up. In addition to this, we would like to invite you to send in a photo (either as a hard copy handed to the class teacher or emailed to the office) of your child ‘reading their way’ at home. This could be tucked up in a cosy nook, in the garden, or even somewhere exciting, such as on the beach! We will share these with the children during the day. Please could these be sent in by Friday 28th February.
World Book Day - Book sale cancelled – we have not had many book donations so we are postponing the book sale, We will try to organise a sale in the summer term.
Our School Amazon Wish List - for any gifts, it is always lovely to know who has donated items so we can thank you properly! The link to the gift list can be found here
https://amzn.eu/fVdAqFF. Thank you to the kind parents who sent in gifts recently. These are very much appreciated.
