Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a wonderful MacMillan Coffee Morning today. The children thoroughly enjoyed their cakes and drinks and a good time was had by all. We would like to thank Mrs Allison and her daughter Lottie for being Star Bakers and making all of the cakes…… yes that’s right over 400 cakes!!!
As a result of our fund raising I am very proud to announce that we have raised £755 with online donations and over £50 with cash donations. What a fantastic sum to donate to this very worthy cause. Thank you all of you!
In terms of the weather, this has been a week of two halves, it’s been so cold over the last couple of days. Please can you make sure that your child brings their coat into school.
It has been great to see the children responding to their teachers through Google Classrooms this week. We know of some families who have had technical issues. We thank you for your patience while these are resolved by our IT provider. We are aiming to have all of the issues sorted next week and will be using the system to provide homework.
Thank you to the families who responded to our internet access survey. We will share this information with teachers so they know who has what level of access currently.
Online Parent Information Presentations
We hope the information videos about your child’s class that were sent to you this week have been helpful. If you have any questions, please email these in.
We have a number of children attending our school who have a severe allergy to nuts - including both peanuts and tree-growing nuts (including hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds and brazil nuts etc). This allergy is not just triggered through ingestion but can also be via touch and inhalation. Under no circumstances are items containing nuts or nut products to be brought onto site, either during the school day or before and after school. i.e. no packets of nuts of any variety for snacks. This request covers all food items in school from break time snacks and lunch boxes to birthday treats that get handed out to the children in class and cake sale items.
Please do not send in items such as sandwiches that contain peanut butter or Nutella / hazelnut chocolate spread on sandwiches and please carefully check ingredients of cereal bars. Your understanding and cooperation on this matter is very much appreciated
Accident Free In CSG
Thank you to those who have been parking at the playing fields and thoughtfully on Bowstridge Lane.
Thank you to those parking in Blizzards Yard car park (behind the Coop) and around the village, rather than drive up School Lane or park on Silver Hill.
Please do not park in the Memorial Car Park, the slope on the Memorial Car Park, across Crossing Corner or across Rectory Gardens. This should be kept clear at all times so your children can cross safely and so residents are able to get in and out of their road.
