Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s been another exciting week and the children have continued to impress us. We feel lucky to be able to have contact with the children each day. We know that everyone is finding the current lockdown and restrictions really hard but we wanted to remind you that we are still here to help. If you are struggling and need support, please contact us so we can offer support or sign post you to services that may be able to help. These are difficult times and we need to be there for each other as we know that together we can get through this.
Anti-bullying week - We had a great ‘Odd Socks Day’ today with some fabulous combinations. This fun event marked the end of our anti-bullying week where we held assemblies and used lesson time to discuss the importance of standing up and speaking out if we notice any bullying or are subject to any form of bullying. We will not tolerate bullying and stand firm in or approach to keep all children safe.
Keeping healthy and well - We are so pleased that we are keeping well. We have had a few staff who have had to self-isolate due to track and trace alerts but we have been able to cover for them whilst keeping our bubbles secure. The precautions the staff are taking to keep the schools open are working. We are keen to ensure that this continues so please can we ask that you avoid mingling when dropping off and collecting children – always remember to keep two metres from anyone you don’t live with. This is vitally important as we want to protect everyone and continue to provide an exciting and excellent education for your children. Please support us with this.
Save the Children Fund - On Friday 4th December, we will be holding a Christmas Jumper Day to support the charity Save the Children. On this day, your child may come to school wearing a Christmas jumper, or a jumper they have decorated in a festive way, in exchange for a £1 charitable donation which will be collected in class.
We are looking forward to seeing all the jazzy jumpers and having a fun day with the children.
Accident Free in CSG
Infant School - Thank you to those parking in Blizzards Yard car park and around the village, rather than driving up School Lane or parking on Silver Hill. The parking wardens have been contacted by members of the public and the school so they will be out there to monitor the situation.
Junior School - Thank you to those parking at the playing fields and considerately around the village. Please avoid Parsonage Road as the space at the top of the road is already busy with resident’s cars and the children are struggling to find the pavement to walk on as people are parked everywhere.
